What's In the SIMUL8 2008 Service Pack

This page details all changes, enhancements and fixes to SIMUL8 2008 since it was first shipped. The build numbers relate to both SIMUL8 Professional and SIMUL8 Standard, some comments may only apply to one of the products.

If you think you have found a bug in SIMUL8 that isn't mentioned in the list below as fixed please notify us of the problem.

Enhancements and Fixes in Build 1577

• When Data Graphics are copied now updates any refs to object self in expressions.
• Distance Scaling setting from Preferences tab now saved.
• Only one copy of an object result chart is ever created now.
• Double clicking on charts now opens the chart properties dialog.
• Pie Charts no longer resize during run giving pulsing effect.
• Simulation windows can now be dragged around with a "HandCursor" (HOLD DOWN alt KEY)
• Right click menu with rescale chart option now available for standard charts.

Enhancements and Fixes in Build 1572

• Calls to Visual Logic Functions from within Visual Logic code are now displayed in the call stack.
• Newly created charts now opened by default.
• New show chart button added to chart list dialog.
• Current timing units now shown on changeover tab for Work Centers.

Enhancements and Fixes in Build 1562

• Resource matrix now accessible from All Resources dialog.
• Added show chart button to chart list dialog to allow charts to be quickly opened.
• Fix to charts not being populated with data when initially opened.
• Object states are now not displayed if the object is invisible.
• Display states setting now saved.
• Added splitter to input summary to allow column width of name column to be changed.
• On Start Repair Visual Logic button hidden for all objects except Work Center, not applicable to any other objects.
• Fixed issue when interruptible resources were used on repairs and Visual Logic was used to breakdown work centers.

Enhancements and Fixes in Build 1546

• Monitor and toolbar turn on options enabled when come out of unprotect mode.
• Scrollbars now on for array viewer.
• About screen changed to show build number without having to click on it.
• New COM command for setting title wrap and position.
• New manifest files to prevent pop up messages in vista on launch.
• Removal of incorrect warning message when text label is evaluated as a number in Visual Logic
• Increase of maximum conveyor speed.

Enhancements and Fixes in Build 1537

• Scratchpad opens default page if no pages exist.
• Open Results Window Visual Logic command now opens the new results manager if Professional version.
• XML now generated for charts.
• Custom charts open status and location now remembered.
