Results Manager

The Results Manager is an extension to our Results Summary, available with SIMUL8 Professional 2008. All results and key performance indicators (KPI's) are now categorized and organized in a hierarchical tree allowing you to quickly navigate & manipulate all possible results within your simulation in one central area. As well as giving you the ability to create your own custom reports!

Sections

There are 4 main sections within the Results Manager:

• KPI Monitor
• KPI History
• All Object Summary
• Custom Reports.

The KPI Monitor

The KPI Monitor shows the key results and information you are focusing on in your analysis. It can be accessed at anytime during, or at the end of a simulation. At the end of trial it also presents you with confidence interval information for each KPI so you can understand how randomness is likely to impact the behavior of your system.

Any result, variable and many object properties can be added to the KPI monitor, just right click on the item of interest to add it.

The KPI History

The KPI History window provides a summary of your KPI's from every simulation run or trial that you have conducted. The key benefit is that it makes it easy for you to compare results. This is extremely beneficial when you want to investigate what happens to your KPI's when you run your simulations under different operating conditions. Each column represents a run or trial and the rows reference the KPI's that you are interested in analyzing in your simulation.

All Object Summary

The All Object Summary section provides a list of all results within your simulation categorized by simulation object. The tree structure in the left hand window allows navigation between individual objects and groups of objects. By selecting the object or group of objects in the left hand window those results will be displayed in the main window on the right. If an individual object is selected then all results that are presented in that objects results dialog will be displayed in the main window.

Custom Reports

The Custom Reports option is a very powerful addition. It allows you to create your own tailored reports using any of the available results within your simulation. All of your reports are now accessible and editable within one centralized area and there is no limit to how many you can produce!

The objects that you can use to produce a customized report include:

• Simulation Object Results
• Simulation Object Properties
• Charts
• Variables
• KPI's (including Trial results)

You can also add other display elements such as text, shapes, lines and images. The Custom Report operates in 2 modes: edit and non-edit mode. When in edit mode, you simply select the custom report that you want to work on in the right hand window and drag the results (KPI's) and information that you want to include in your report from the left hand window. It is that simple!

The report below (shown in both edit and non-edit mode) demonstrates a typical report that you can create very quickly now using the Results Manager.
